Student Midwife

Sheaffer Palermo is a mother to five children, a sovereign birth companion, and is immersed in wise woman midwifery studies with Indie Birth Midwifery School alongside robust home birth and birth center apprenticeships. Her call to midwifery began during her first pregnancy over 20 years ago.

She has been called to support women and families within the childbearing continuum in making collaborative, informed, and autonomous decisions. Sheaffer brings a wealth of lived experience to birth work , and attends families with individualized care and compassion. 

She and her family enjoy live music, rustic home cooking, gardening, adventuring, and living close to the wild rhythms of nature
