Santa Fe Birth Center is a remodeled adobe home with wood floors, vigas, and plastered walls.
The Center is centrally located on S. Saint Francis Drive;
inside the thick adobe walls remarkably quiet rooms invite calm relaxation.
Every carefully considered element of the warm physical environment
encourages one's inner strength and ability to give birth.

Garden Room

The Center has two birth rooms of differing styles designed to augment the
intimate work of labor. The Garden Room windows open to a walled four season
garden with a flagstone patio, bubbling fountain and sweet smelling plants. The Grotto’s wood floor, vigas, and latillas, contribute to its intimate interior, holding atmosphere. Key aspects that create a reassuring birth environment in both birth rooms include private tubs and showers, adjustable lighting, openable windows, and accommodations for support people. Separate ground floor entries into each birth room from the outside require no intermediary office, stairs or elevator for laboring people and families.
Grotto Room

During labor and postpartum friends and family are welcome to use the
front living room, kitchen/dining room and a handicap accessible bathroom.
Clients and their families are encouraged to use the kitchen to make nourishing snacks and meals.
The Center’s play area for children includes a sand tray and molding sand.
In addition, clinic rooms are available for prenatal and postpartum appointments.
